sexological bodyworker

Celeste is now a qualified Sexological Bodyworker.   She completed the course (see details in my previous blog article   https://www.tantricmassagelondon.com/tantric-massage-and-sexological-bodywork/) and received the qualification because she has been very much in demand for our Tantric Therapy/Tuition sessions for several years now,and she wanted to study the subject in more depth. The idea was to get more knowledge, feedback and a recognised qualification. The t-shirt she received on graduating shows that the organisation has a sense of humour, which is always a plus. Personally, I wasn’t too sure what a Sex Geek is, so I have searched the term and come up with some interesting definitions. The Urban Dictionary definition is: “Someone who takes pride in learning, applying and spreading throughout their lives, accurate sexual health information, effective communication skills and relationship blackbelt knowhow regardless of sexual identity and practices” http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Sex+Geek   Sex-Positive Podcasts “that helped me realize, I’m a Sex Geek   I identify as a ‘sex geek’ It’s a term that was coined and made popular by renowned sex educator Reid Mihalko and I’ve been one since before there even was a term for it…….. ” https://medium.com/@lizandrade/sex-positive-podcasts-that-helped-me-realize-i-m-a-sex-geek-6e21a99aebe9#.jx6j2r26l   10 Ways to become a Sexy Geek Confidence… Read more »

internal clitoris - betty dodson

Betty Dodson is a well-known sex educator I have mentioned her before, in previous articles on this blog. For women, in particular, it is well worth reading some of the many articles on her comprehensive website: http://www.dodsonandross.com   She has written countless articles and produced many videos on all kinds of subjects related to women’s sexuality.   In the video above, she draws a vagina, including the clitoris and I thought it would be interesting, helpful and educational for both women and men to watch.   In fact, it seems that it was only in 2009 that researchers produced the first complete three-dimensional sonography of the stimulated clitoris, similar to the blue and yellow picture above.   Before that, there were only incomplete or inaccurate textbook descriptions and nobody knew about the full anatomical scope of the excited clitoris until the late 1990s, when an MRI was used to study its structure in its ‘live’ state.   The researchers worked for 3 years without proper funding and it is thanks to them that we now understand how the erectile tissue of the clitoris engorges and surrounds the vagina – a complete breakthrough that explains how what we once considered… Read more »

masters of sex 1

Have any of you been watching Masters of Sex on tv – channel 4? 4 out of 12 episodes have already been shown. Plenty of time to describe some of the interesting work of this couple who are now known as two pioneering researchers of human sexuality. The series is based on a biography by Thomas Maier, and we have already been given a hint of the disturbed life of Masters’ early years when he was beaten by his father, with his mother just choosing to ignore what was going on. In the tv programme, Masters is played by Martin Sheen (photo above left) and the photo on the right is of the real Masters, whose repression shows in his eyes and face. And yet, this is the man who fought to break convention and chose to devote his life to chronicling and measuring the sexual habits of the men and women of his time. Masters,  and Virginia Johnson, who started off as his research assistant,  became partners and recruited volunteers to shed their inhibitions and masturbate or have sex in laboratory conditions. They later wrote and published ‘Human Sexual Response’ in 1966,… Read more »

orgasmic meditation

Have you heard of Orgasmic Meditation or OM for short? It was mentioned to us by one of our female clients. Orgasmic Meditation is taught by an organisation based in the US but there seems to be a branch in London also. The whole idea of Orgasmic Meditation is to slow down, which is something we have written about in previous articles here According to their website, it is something you practice with a partner and it is equally powerful for both partners – the object of focus for both partners is the clitoris. They say that the practice strips away more and more layers of conditioning, fear and ..personality, so that the most tender parts of ourselves can touch the world. The website also contains intriguing articles on subjects like: ‘Why Men like Porn and Women like Vibrators’ which states that for both men and women there is a quality of hunger that is unmet, an itch that is not getting scratched. Orgasmic Meditation hold courses in the US and there are also meetings in London on Wednesday and Friday evenings. In the US, there are also advanced Orgasmic Meditation classes where ‘you will peak behind the curtain of… Read more »

clitoris

The clitoris is described as the only human body part that exists solely for pleasure. It is not merely a little ‘button’ hidden between a woman’s legs, but rather a large, mostly internal organ many people dont know about. New York artist, Sophia Wallace has created a multi-media art project entitled “Cliteracy”   According to Wallace, the clitoris was only scientifically discovered in 1998. Although the clitoris did appear in scientific literature in the mid-1800’s, it is only recently that an Australian urologist named Helen O’Connel published a paper describing its sheer scope and size. She specified that the unerect clitoris, most of which is subterranean, could be up to 9 cms long. In the image above, the internal clitoris is highlighted in yellow. Sophia Wallace notes how curious it is that the female form is idolized for its sexuality and is broadcast all around us in art and advertising, and yet the clitoris, which is the true female sexual organ, is virtually invisible. Not only that, but many women feel embarrassed to ask men to pleasure them, and feel that they are asking for a huge favour. ‘It is insane to me’ she says that this should still… Read more »

beyond tantra

Below is an excerpt from the above book, by Mieke and Stephan Wik It is one of the most practical books I have read on improving one’s sex life when involved in a relationship or marriage. We do not offer Tantric Sex at Tantric Massage London in Kensington, but we hope that our tantric massage sessions can give our clients the necessary tools for improving their relationship with a partner. “You can learn and practise Sacred Sex with people other than your partner. But ideally, this means that the other person is also an adept and that there is a very high level of trust and awareness involved…. in practice, however, most people find that it is very difficult to do this. Our society does not equip most of us with the emotional and intellectual frameworks needed to allow this sort of scenario to play out well in the long term……. Sacred Sex takes time and practice. It’s not really something that you can do well during a one night stand…….” We hope that by visiting us and  receiving a tantric massage which is offered with love and caring, and with your best interests at heart, can be a… Read more »
