With the beginning of a new year, our thoughts naturally turn to hopes, desires and expectations for the future.

In the Vedic scriptures, it is said that all existence manifests from a fundamental seed syllable or vibration: OM.

Sanskrit mantras or words are direct manifestations of a deeper reality and have the potential to radically transform us and shift us out of fixed modes of awareness, when we concentrate on them or repeat them.

This is why the music we play during tantric massage sessions, consists of mantras.

We can all experiment with this for ourselves, and chant OM, repeating the sound several times, either inwardly or out loud for a period of time, and observe the effect on our inner being.

When we feel peace within, we spread that peace to all those around us…. we feel the oneness, we feel connected and in our own way, we contribute to spreading peace and harmony in the world.

When I first went to live in California, I stayed with a friend who had a beautiful house, a hot tub, and a massage room. She immediately sent me to do a weekend massage course – I later found out that  typically, when I was asked out on a date, the usual invitation was not for dinner or movies, but to give the lucky guy a massage…. Looking back, I now know that was the beginning of my appreciation of the importance of knowing how to give a good massage, and how it can help to spread peaceful feelings in the world…..

Its a perfect opportunity to plan for a couples’tantric massage at Tantric Massage London

This is a very practical session which will guide you through the steps of giving one another a tantric massage and will enable you to keep practicing and improving your skills at home.

Alternatively you could give your partner the gift of a tantric massage with one of our masseuses, as a Valentine’s gift.

Hamsa, in Sanskrit, is a swan and it represents perfect union, balance and life…… the oneness of the human and the divine……   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamsa
